Where Strong Applications Begin
Welcome to The Admit Lab! Founded by Yale student Aryav Bothra, this is a one-stop college admissions consulting service focused on building your student’s extracurricular profile, crafting standout essays, and developing a targeted college list. My goal is to offer personalized, face-to-face guidance that’s both affordable and accessible to students from all backgrounds.

About Aryav Bothra
Aryav is a senior at Yale University studying Economics and Statistics & Data Science, graduating in 2026. After graduation, he will be joining Boston Consulting Group in New York City as a consultant. He brings a background in journalism, private equity, and strategic thinking that is extremeley valuable to students crafting their profile for college admissions.
As Editor-in-Chief of The Yale Globalist, Yale’s leading global affairs publication, he has experience writing, editing, and refining narratives that are clear, compelling, and impactful. He understands how to take complex experiences and shape them into cohesive stories that stand out, helping students share their backgrounds to admissions officers.
Having navigated the college admissions process himself from a public high school with limited resources, Aryav understands firsthand how challenging and opaque the process can feel. This experience drives his focus on making high-quality, personalized guidance more accessible, while helping students build strong extracurricular profiles, develop a clear narrative, and apply strategically.
Over the past several years, he has worked closely with students each admissions cycle, helping them refine their applications and gain admission to highly selective colleges.
At Yale, he also serves as President of the Dwight Hall Socially Responsible Investment Fund, where he explores how finance can be used to support sustainable and community-driven initiatives. Before college, he founded The Teen Trillionaire, a nonprofit that partnered with schools to provide free personal finance education to students, and held leadership roles as President of Model United Nations and Editor-in-Chief of his high school newspaper.

Build A Standout
Extracurricular Profile
I work with students to develop a focused extracurricular profile by helping them find and pursue research with professors, secure internships at local and national organizations, and launch their own initiatives. Each activity is chosen and shaped to build a clear, cohesive narrative over time.
2
Craft Meaningful Admissions Essays
I guide students through brainstorming to develop a comprehensive application story, identifying the strongest narratives across their experiences. From first draft to final polish, I support the full writing process to ensure each essay is thoughtful, structured, and distinctive.
3
Create A Targeted
College List
I help students build a balanced college list based on their academic profile, interests, and long-term goals. We'll take into account factors like selectivity, academic programs, campus environment, and financial considerations to create a thoughtful mix of schools.
